The Farm

You can really get away from it all in our tranquil gites. We are no longer a working smallholding but your setting is amongst the working farms and surrounding agriculture. We still keep our ever-present pot-belly pigs and a few laying hens; April and May visitors may see an orphan lamb or two and for late summer visitors, there's the arrival of the turkeys. Of our -ever-present's, our miniature pot bellied pigs, George and Georgina, are always a favourite of children and adults alike. Our main activities here now revolve around our three beatiful horses - Bentley, Tequila and Tommy.

Ours has been a farm dating back to the 17th century and all our neighbors farm the surrounding land. Old farm buildings all have traditional thick walls built in soft, warm, local stone with beautiful red tiled roofs which is typical of the local architecture. This area of France is sculpted by its famous rivers and our valley is no exception. When out walking it is easy to see where the ancient rivers once flowed and often you can come across a clearing containing a delightful cool spring. Our river, The Dronne, is recognised as one of the most beautiful and natural in France.

Gail Smith is also a highly qualified Acupuncturist who trained and graduated in the UK [B.A.(Hons) Lic.Ac] and has a practice here in France. Her practice also offers Indian Head Massage and she is a Reiki Healer. If you would like to know more about this, click on the link in the list below
